Postcards

This section contains three postcards pertaining to the Garrison Chapel in Halifax, circa early 1900's.

The Halifax Garrison Chapel was constructed between 1844 and 1846 and was located on the northwest corner of Brunswick and Cogswell Streets. It was a large wooden structure approximately 100 feet by 60 feet, designed in a classic style. It opened for service on June 18, 1847. On the departure of British troops in 1906, the Garrison Chapel was sold to the Trinity Church Corporation. It was destroyed by fire in 1918.
