The Personal Profile Collections are composed of digital images of photos, documents, letters, artifacts, etc., pertaining to military personnel, either from Cape Breton, or that served in military units associated with Cape Breton. The source material that make up the images, in many cases, was generously provided by the individuals themselves or from family members. All images contain reference numbers and are documented as to their source. The Personal Profile Collections pay tribute to the military personnel and help to document and preserve the details of their military service. Some Personal Profile Collections may only contain a single image of a photo or document, while others may contain hundreds of images.
The Personal Profile Collections are listed below and are organized alphabetically by last name. For faster identification, next to each individual’s name is their home town, time period they served, and their unit or branch of service.
Clicking on a name will bring up information on that particular person, and links to access their Personal Profile Collection of images. The names followed by * indicate those individuals that made the supreme sacrifice and were either killed in action or died from wounds received in action.
