The photo is believed to have been taken in Point Pleasant Park at the southern most tip of the Halifax Peninsula. The view is looking towards McNabs Island and Eastern Passage in the far background.
Note the two very small boys near the two guns on the far right of the photo. Also note the man in the bowler hat behind the bushes in the background. He appears to be photobombing the picture.
