On the right with a bren light machine gun is Pte. J.H. McNeil of Benacadie Pond, Cape Breton, and on the left with a rifle is Pte. Arthur S. Boutilier of Sydney Mines, Cape Breton. What is unusual about this photo is that both men are wearing American style helmets which were being tested out by some Canadian troops at the time.
