Unidentified Soldier

94th Victoria Regiment "Argyll Highlanders"

Circa First World War

This is a studio portrait photo most likely taken somewhere in Cape Breton. It was probably taken near the beginning of the war. The unidentified soldier is still wearing a pre-war militia uniform with peaked cap and an Oliver pattern belt. Note the diced banding on his cap. Also note the older style 94th Regiment cap badge, one of two designs that were worn. He is missing collar badges.
