85th Battalion Chow Line

Circa 1916-1917

Holding their mess tins, men from the 85th Battalion line up for a meal. It is believed the photo was taken somewhere in France while the battalion was out of the line. The men don't have kilts so the photo would date to pre July, 1918.

85th Battalion Regimental Band During a Ceremony

Namur, Belgium

April, 1919

The 85th Battalion Regimental Band takes part in a ceremony welcoming the 13th Belgium Regiment as it returns to Namur, Belgium. Also in attendence is a Guard of Honour from the 27th Canadian Infantry Battalion.
