Holiday Greeting Card

Christmas 1918 - New Years 1919

85th Battalion (Nova Scotia Highlanders)

The greeting card consists of a one piece cardstock type paper with a blank reverse. It is interesting to note that the 85th Battalion did not spend time in Germany as the greeting card seems to indicate. After the war ended, the battalion was billeted in Belgium before returning to England and then home. Perhaps the greeting card had been printed when the intention had been that the 85th Battalion was to form a part of the army of occupation in Germany.
