The postcard was sent to Estelle, George Saunders' sister for her birthday. George was at Witley Camp, England, with the 193rd Battalion, when he sent the postcard.

Reverse of the Above Postcard

The postcard is addressed to Company Sergeant Major George Saunders of the 193rd Battalion at Witley Camp in England, and is postmarked December 11, 1916. It was sent by Mary Morse, a girl George had met while the battalion was training at Aldershot, NS, the previous fall. They later married after the war.
