This section contains images of two telegrams addressed to George Saunders from the headquarters of Military District No. 6, dated July 11, 1940.
The above telegram is addressed to George Saunders, Pictou Power Board, and requests that he report to the headquarters of Military District No. 6 as early as possible. At the time, George Saunders held the rank of 2nd lieutenant in the 7th Anti-Aircraft Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery, a militia battery formerly designated as the 83rd Stellarton Field Battery. The re-designation took effect on June 1, 1939. The request turned out to be his posting as a recruiting officer for Military District No.6, with the rank of acting captain. At the bottom of the telegram is a handwritten note by George Saunders saying that he will report the following morning.

This telegram appears to be the same as the previous telegram, except the sender's name is at the bottom, Col. J.A. Adamson, District Recruiting Officer, Military District No. 6.
