William (Bill) Fairley Metcalfe – Section 8

This section contains five newspaper clippings from the Cape Breton Post dating to the 1990’s. The clippings are Letters to the Editor written by Bill Metcalfe. Some are dated and some are not. In the letters, Bill expresses his opinions on various topics related to his experiences in World War 2 and to the Cape Breton Highlanders. Bill had a very strong bond with the Cape Breton Highlanders and was very proud of his service during the war. His strong feelings and opinions expressed in the letters no doubt reflect the hardships he endured during the war.
