Saint John Evening Times-Globe

February 26, 1941

The article pertains to the fire at the exhibition buildings in Saint John. The Cape Breton Highlanders were stationed in Saint John at the time and occupied the buildings. One Cape Breton Highlander, Pte. Lauchlin Malin from Glace Bay, NS, was killed in the blaze and others were injured. As well, the battalion lost most of its equipment.
