This photo was taken in Nova Scotia before Harvey went overseas. He wears an officer's uniform of the 219th Battalion and holds the rank of lieutenant. His parents, Rev. Edwin Crowell and Mrs. Susan Dove (MacQueen) Crowell are seated in the front. The others in the photo are unidentified but are probably his siblings and possibly their spouses.
