Wilson Beaton - Section 2

This section contains a one page typed letter from The MacLaughlan Studio in Halifax dated March 26, 1917. It is addressed to Wilson Beaton's father regarding photos of him taken while in the 246th Battalion (Nova Scotia Highlanders) before he went overseas. The letter is signed by W.G. MacLaughlan.

Also included are images of the front and reverse of the envelope and an insert that was with the letter giving information and prices on acquiring photos.

The MacLaughlan Studio was quite popular at the time for taking portrait photos of many of the Nova Scotian soldiers before they proceeded overseas. Their panoramic group photos are sought after by collectors today.
