In the photo, all men wear Canadian 1903 pattern seven button tunics with peaked caps and Oliver pattern web gear. Their cap badges identify them as soldiers from the 76th Colchester and Hants Rifles. “1914” is printed in black ink on the bottom right hand corner. In the background is the Truro Armoury.
The original photo postcard had been glued on a black photo album page and now has glue residue and black page residue on the reverse.
