The 75th Lunenburg Regiment was a Nova Scotia militia unit that originated on August 12, 1870, when independent Nova Scotia militia companies along the south shore of Nova Scotia were combined to become the 75th Lunenburg Battalion of Infantry. They were headquartered in Bridgewater. On May 8, 1900 the battalion was redesignated as the 75th Lunenburg Regiment. During the First World War the unit was mobilized for local protection duties. On March 29, 1920, it was reorganized to become The Lunenburg Regiment.
