Restored and Enlarged Version of the Photo

The north end of Victoria Park is on the bottom left of the photo. Note the military vehicles, the motorcycles training in the open area, and the construction of new buildings.George Street runs vertically through the centre of the photo. Note the convoy formed up in Sydney Harbour. Westmount is across the harbour. North Sydney would be in the distant background.
