On the March

25th Battalion (Nova Scotia Rifles)

Spring Garden Road, Halifax, NS

Circa 1914-1915

The 25th Battalion marches up Spring Garden Road. The view is looking east toward Halifax Harbour. The intersection with South Park Street is visible in the foreground. 

The three men on the far right in the foreground appear to be drummers. Directly behind the three drummers, the man on the right with the larger moustache is the commanding officer, Lt-Col. George Augustus LeCain from Round Hill, Annapolis County, NS. Next to him, with the smaller moustache, is the battalion adjutant, Major Lawrence Howard MacKenzie from Stellarton, NS.
