A detachment of officers and men of the 85th Battalion, including the regimental band, took part in the triumphal march of victorious overseas troops in London, on May 3, 1919. They represented the 12th Canadian Brigade which was a part of the 4th Canadian Division. The battalion returned home to Canada the following month.
