"A" Company

193rd Battalion (Nova Scotia Highlanders)

1916

For the men that are seated, 28th from the left, is the commanding officer of the company, Major Adam Thomas McLean. Adam Thomas McLean was born in McLean's, Kent County, NB, and was living in Truro, NS, when he joined the 193rd Battalion in February, 1916. He was a veterinary surgeon. In Englnad he was transferred to the 17th Canadian Reserve Battalion and later served in the  Canadian Army Veterinary Corps.
