R.M.S. Olympic

Circa 1917-1918

This is a postcard of R.M.S. Olympic at sea during war service as a troopship in World War One. Olympic was a British transatlantic ocean liner of the White Star Line, a sister ship of RMS Titanic. Her career spanned from 1911 to 1935. During World War One, Olympic was converted to a troopship and was nicknamed "Old Reliable". At the time, it was one of the largest ocean liners in the world. It was Olympic that carried the Nova Scotia Highland Brigade overseas in 1916.
